Looking back at where
STXAGM
began...
Founding
The Assemblies of God was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with 300 people at the founding convention. The Texas Assemblies of God originally was one large district. Then in 1953, West Texas became part of the TEXACO district and broke up into the North Texas and South Texas Assemblies of God.
Today there are nearly 13,000 churches in the U.S. with over 3 million members and adherents. There are more than 69 million Assemblies of God members worldwide, making the Assemblies of God the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination.
Our District
The South Texas Assemblies of God district officially began in 1953. Our district reaches from Kerrville in the Hill Country to Rio Grande Valley, down south, to the Neches Valley of east Texas, with unique diversity, yet committed to a common goal of revival. Over 70 years of incredible ministry and growth.

Our Vision
Fast forward to today, STXAG has been and will continue to be a ministry with a vision:
Facilitating Health, Growth & Development of our Ministers & Ministries in South Texas.
