Open Staff Positions in South Texas Assembly of God Churches

Updated April 16, 2026

Faith Assembly, Pasadena, Tx

At present, we are prayerfully seeking an Associate Pastor. Above all, this individual must have a deep love for Christ and a genuine passion for souls and the advancement of God's Kingdom. They must be clearly called to ministry, committed to leading others to Christ, and devoted to the spiritual growth and maturity of the saints. In addition, a passion for Christian education is very important to our ministry.

Our church family is blessed with a unique ministry that encompasses three interconnected areas of service. As you know, Faith Christian Center is not only a church, but also the home of both a Christian school and a daycare.

Faith Christian Academy (FCA), established in 1973, is a discipleship school that partners with parents who desire their children to receive an education grounded in a Christian worldview. In contrast to the increasingly secular philosophies of the culture, the academy exists to shape young lives for Christ. Over the years, it has become well known in our community and is viewed by our congregation as a vital home missions effort — one that seeks to influence our city for God and to impact destinies for His glory.

We also operate Academy Learning Center (ALC), our daycare ministry, which was likewise established in 1973. This outreach serves many families in our community who need quality childcare while also providing a Christ-centered environment where children learn about the Lord. Through the years, we have seen many parents come to Christ as a result of the influence their children experienced there. The center is widely recognized in our community as a meaningful and valued ministry.

For this reason, any applicant for the associate pastor position must appreciate the significance of both the school and the daycare as important avenues for reaching our community for Christ. Ideally, they would feel honored to support and help strengthen these ministries.

At this time, the individual who would be the greatest asset to us would likely serve in the capacity of church administrator or executive pastor. This person would be called to ministry and able to function pastorally when needed, while also bringing practical strengths in administration. Experience with bookkeeping, staff management, and facility oversight would be especially helpful.

We would highly value someone with strong leadership and communication skills, a gift for collaboration, and wisdom in conflict resolution. This role would involve working closely with the senior pastor to pursue the vision of Faith Christian Center—making the most of our current resources while guiding the ministry toward a strong, fruitful future. Knowledge of administration, the ability to delegate and develop others, and familiarity with nonprofit or church accounting would be exceptional and welcomed skills. However, above all else, we desire someone who loves God, loves His people, and approaches ministry with a spirit of humility and excellence for the glory of Christ and His Kingdom.

Faith Christian Center has a rich legacy and history, and we believe it also has a wonderful future ahead. At present, the church, school, and daycare are financially stable, and the people of Faith are loving, supportive, and Kingdom-minded. I believe they would gladly work alongside a humble servant who shares their desire to advance the work of Christ. Contact Pastor McDuff at revjohnmcduff@gmail.com
